The Child
Strengths, interests and how they like to begin.
A readiness-led learning companion for neurodivergent children and their families.
Choose a path. Let’s explore together.
Being able to learn and getting into learning right now are not the same thing. Kinaptic starts one step earlier.
Strengths, interests and how they like to begin.
What they’re asked to do, and how it looks.
Where learning happens, and with whom.
The time of day, and what happened just before.
Built to sit alongside professional judgement. Here is what we are testing, and how.
Is this child’s getting started variable or consistent across sessions?
Does a parent’s quick judgement before a session help predict it?
Does one predefined change at the start lead to a better start?
Does the child’s own evidence choose a better start next time?
Our advisory board challenges the protocol, the claims we make and our safeguarding.
Kino guides children through short, calm activities.
Our vision is a learning universe where Kino guides each child from world to world. Children unlock new worlds as they go, with Kino beside them as a calm, safe companion. The aim is to make children curious and excited about learning, and for the experience to adapt to what each child needs.
Visual conceptKinaptic Worlds is an early visual concept of where Kino could go. It is not the current prototype.
Over time, Kinaptic builds a picture of what helps your child get into learning, across the child, the activity, the setting and the moment. We share it with you in plain language.

Insight, not a score. You stay in charge of what happens next.
Illustrative concept. The Founding Families programme is testing which insights parents find genuinely useful.

Become part of the codesign of readiness learning for neurodivergent children
What helps your child get started?
Can we learn what might help today?
What small change could make starting easier?
Can what we learn shape the next start?
A founder and a multidisciplinary advisory board, shaping Kinaptic together.

Adam Preis is the Founder of Kinaptic, an impact led learning technology venture working to help neurodivergent children unlock their learning superpowers.
The idea grew from something deeply personal: seeing first hand that a child can have enormous ability and potential, while still finding it difficult to access learning when the conditions around them are not right. That experience became a bigger question for Adam: what if we could understand those moments better, learn the patterns behind learning readiness, and use evidence to make personalised learning genuinely more responsive to the individual child?
Adam brings more than 15 years of technology, product and go to market leadership to that mission, with experience turning complex ideas into propositions that can scale. Alongside building Kinaptic, he is completing an Executive MBA at King’s College London, where the venture has progressed through the King’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and Start up Accelerator.
He is building Kinaptic with families, practitioners, researchers, advisors and data specialists around a simple conviction: neurodivergence is not a limitation to suppress, but difference to understand, so every child has a better chance to learn in the way that works for them.

Aviv brings service and systems design expertise to Kinaptic, helping us build personalisation from evidence rather than assumption.
Great ideas rarely become great products without people willing to challenge the assumptions underneath them. Aviv Katz brings exactly that perspective to the Kinaptic Advisory Board. A highly experienced service and systems designer, Aviv has spent his career helping organisations tackle complex human problems through design led innovation, research and system change. His work spans health, social care, justice and public services, and he has led service design practice, coached leaders and built innovation capability across organisations. What particularly resonates with Kinaptic is his insistence on starting with the lived human experience and understanding the system around it before rushing towards a solution.
Aviv joined the Kinaptic Advisory Board because our challenge sits precisely at that intersection of human complexity, learning and system design. He is helping us interrogate assumptions in our learning readiness model, think much more carefully about how individual patterns develop over time, and ensure that we do not reach conclusions about a child too quickly. As our Founding Families programme moves from hypothesis into empirical learning, Aviv’s role is to keep challenging how we observe, learn and design around the individual child, helping Kinaptic build personalisation from evidence rather than assumption and, ultimately, Unlock Learning Superpowers.
Kinaptic is part of Cohort 10, with the King’s Entrepreneurship Institute.
